Europe is worth debating for.

why

Both the European idea and the continent are confronted with fundamental questions that will define its future. Currently there is no open and transparent place for Europeans to meet, and discuss what and who shapes Europe. No platform where citizens can engage in fruitful debates, gain insights from other opinions, but also different regional perspectives.

what

We are Forum, the debate and news platform that wants Europeans to talk more with, and less about each other. Europe needs a Public Sphere, a Forum where we can all gather to overcome language barriers, and think across borders.

how

Each morning, our pan-European editorial team selects the most interesting articles on Europe from leading news media in our network. These pieces are then translated into multiple languages by machine learning software, and fine-tuned by journalistic knowledge and expertise. The curated articles are then published on our platform and made accessible to our subscribers. Our interactive and engaging comment tools facilitate constructive and multilingual discussions.

  • We believe in supporting quality journalism and aim to bolster its imperative role for democracy and freedom.
  • A public sphere thrives not only when its members are informed, but when beliefs and biases are contested by opposing views.
  • We foster an open debating culture that challenges, informs and engages Europeans.
  • Our main commitment is to our subscribers, and to a flourishing debate culture.
  • We are editorially independent, and not influenced by commercial or political interests.
  • We are committed to freedom of expression, and will counter misinformation and hate speech.
  • We want to challenge, inspire, inform and engage Europeans. And that is the core of our promise.
