Professor and director of the European Centre at the University of Warsaw. Although officially a political scientist and sinologist, he is Hungarian by vocation, having lived in Budapest between 1991 and 1998 as a high-ranking diplomat. He also recently published his book "Hungarian Syndrome: Trianon".
